Technique Sunday- Acrylic Paint

Technique Sunday

Acrylic Paint

Acrylic paints are an econimical way to add texture, camoflauge flaws and tone down bright hues to make your layouts flow and blend together better.

Using paint is by far one of my favorite techniques because of how verstatile it is.

Paint white wash

By using acrylic paint you can tone down a racy background that might overwhelm your photographs.

Example: By using blue paint on a hat patterned paper background, it tones it down but still allows the picture to come through.

White paint is also great to create texture.

Example: On this layout white paint is used to create a snowy effect on the paper and tag.
